For the past three decades the Van der Merwe’s have been pastors in the Kwazulu Natal region of South Africa and Big Bend Swaziland. Their call from God is to establish churches and encourage and instruct the people in the Word of God. Prayers meetings, Bible studies, music, counseling, births, deaths, wedding, and whatever a Pastor is called upon to do. In addition to the pastoral work Schalk is active in Community work in the Schools, the Police Services and hospitals.
