Hope for the Hungry began in 1982 in response to Christ's command to "Feed My Sheep". At that time an average of more than 40,000 children around the world were dying daily from malnutrition and preventable diseases. After a mission trip to Haiti, Dan and Kandy Kirkley committed to help support a new children's home in Guibert Haiti for eight children with $200 per month. In over four decades of ministry, we continue to support the children's home in Guibert and our ministry now serves locally and around the globe in an effort to relieve spiritual and physical poverty needs. Our passion and our goal is to "Share the Bread of Life with a Starving World."

Education: Provide quality education, discipleship and life mentorship.

Cooperative Ministries Division: We provide pastoral care, administrative care, accountability, trips, training, and prayer for missionaries & organizations in over 14 nations.

Children’s Ministries Division: We support children’s homes and education efforts in Haiti along with a local children's outreach program at Hope House in Belton. Additionally, we seek to support other programs related to both our international and local children's causes.

Anti-Human Trafficking Division: We serve, through ARK2Freedom, to provide training, raise awareness and offer assistance to help decrease our community’s vulnerability to modern day slavery in Central Texas.

Food Relief Division: We seek to provide nutritious meals to the children in the schools and children’s homes that we support in Haiti and beyond through Kids Against Hunger of Central Texas. We also seek to respond to natural disasters and other pressing needs to provide food to children and families.
