The Youth Ambassadors for Christ Association was formed in 1969 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John Owusu Afriyie to reach the "Now Generation" with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The principal objective of YAFCA is to help fulfill the Great Commission in our generation through preaching the Good News, teaching the Word of God and the ministry of music. YAFCA is composed of dedicated people who know and love Jesus Christ and desire to make Him known and loved by everyone everywhere.

The Youth Evangelism School (YES) program was established as a dynamic concept in Christian Life training in 1974. The program is open to Christians from all backgrounds and denominations. Occasionally, even non-Christians attend and become converted, dynamic Christians. Teaching at YES is balanced, placing emphasis on the eternal topics of the Christian faith. YES is non denominational and tries to be unbiased in doctrinal issues. More than 7500 people (both nationals and international) have benefited from the unique training at YES from its inception. Many YES alumni are now effective, successful Ministers around the globe. In fact, some have founded Churches and Ministries with thousands in membership. YES has been the solid foundation for modern Ghanaian Pastors and Evangelists. You too can become a dynamic, effective Christian in all areas of your life. Rev.Theodore Asare

Theovision International (TVI) is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to the service of the Body of Christ in Africa. Its purpose is to record the Bible on cassettes in different indigenous African languages and promote the use of Scriptures so that those who cannot or do not read would also have access to the Word of God. The organization, founded by Rev. Theodore Asare, is incorporated in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria to serve the Body of Christ in Africa.

In Africa, with a population of over 700 million, and an annual population growth of about 3.5% as well as the highest death rate, the problem of illiteracy remains paramount. Unless it is heard through the ears, the great majority of Africans will not receive the Word of God. Therefore, Theovision seeks to satisfy this need by putting the Bible into an audio form so that the Word of God would be available to all.

Theovision, "God's-vision", is a ministry of God-fearing people with very high professional skills in the field of Television Production, Sound Engineering, Audio and Video Production who use modern electronic technology to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is also established to train committed Christian workers for the task of evangelism in Africa through audio/visual means.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to produce audio Bibles in the mother tongue and to promote the use of Scriptures through Bible listening programs in churches, villages, communities, and other institutions in Africa.

Theovision International was born through a vision God gave to Rev. Theodore Mensah Asare in 1987 when he visited Hosanna ministry in America. While Rev. Theodore Asare was at the Oral Roberts University, USA, being trained in Television Production, he was invited to tour Hosanna ministry in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Hosanna is known for the production of Bible on cassettes and it was there that he encountered this concept that would let all Africans, literate and non-literate, have access to the unadulterated Word of God in their mother tongue.

Impressed by what he saw and heard at Hosanna, he stayed up one night thinking through them when God gave him the vision - "God 's Word could be available in all languages in Africa and to non-readers". He got consumed with the passion to make available the Bible in all vernacular languages on audiocassettes for the thousands in Africa who cannot or do not read.

After completing his training at the Oral Roberts University, Rev. Asare then returned to Nigeria where he was a missionary lecturing in a Bible school. His passion to have the audio Bible in all African languages grew so strong that in less than a year after his return to Nigeria, he moved with his family back home to Ghana to begin the ministry which is now called Theovision International in 1989.

Through many challenges and difficulties, and using a very old reel to reel recorder, Rev. Asare painstakingly recorded the Akuapem Twi New Testament on cassettes in Ghana over a period of 4 years. The Ministry has since then grown into a large organization with God fearing staff who have skills in Audio, Video, Television Production, Information Technology and Management, reaching Africa with the Word of God.
